Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations, stays, and use of facilities at Riverside Hotel Dominica. By making a reservation or staying at the property, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms & Conditions, together with the House Rules and Cancellation & No-Show Policy.
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Riverside Hotel Dominica provides short-stay accommodations for registered guests only. The hotel reserves the right to refuse service, terminate a stay, or cancel a reservation if these Terms & Conditions, House Rules, or applicable laws are violated.
2. AGE REQUIREMENT & IDENTIFICATION
The minimum age to make a reservation and check in is 18 years.
At least one registered guest aged 18 or older must occupy the accommodation for the duration of the stay.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in.
Families are welcome.
Children under the age of 4 may stay free of charge, subject to maximum occupancy limits.
All reservations must include the first and last name of all adult occupants and a valid credit card to guarantee arrival.
3. OCCUPANCY & UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS
Maximum occupancy limits apply to each room or apartment and must be respected.
Only the number of guests confirmed in the reservation are permitted to stay overnight.
Accommodation of additional guests must be requested and approved in advance.
An additional guest fee per person per night may apply, determined based on the specific situation. The hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation without refund if unregistered or unauthorized guests stay overnight.
4. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: From 2:00 PM
Check-out: By 12:00 PM
Late check-out requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Room or apartment keys are issued at check-in after all payment and deposit requirements are satisfied. Lost or damaged keys may incur a replacement charge.
5. PAYMENT & SECURITY DEPOSIT
Full payment of the reservation balance is required at check-in unless already collected.
A security deposit pre-authorization is required at check-in, payable by cash or credit card.
The security deposit is refundable subject to inspection of the accommodation. Costs for damages, excessive cleaning, missing items, or violations of these Terms & Conditions may be deducted from the deposit.
Release timing of pre-authorizations depends on the issuing bank and may take 3 to 21 business days.
6. DAMAGE, BREAKAGES & CLEANING
Guests are financially responsible for any damage, breakages, or losses caused by themselves or their visitors, beyond normal wear and tear.
A summary inspection is conducted at check-out.
A detailed inspection may occur after departure.
Any damages identified will be documented and invoiced accordingly.
Immediate notification of any damage or issue during the stay is expected so the hotel may take corrective action.
7. SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms, apartments, and indoor areas of the property.
Violation of this policy may result in additional cleaning charges and/or immediate termination of the stay without refund.
8. NOISE & CONDUCT
Guests must respect the property and neighbouring residents.
Quiet hours are enforced between 22:00 and 08:00
Excessive noise, disturbances, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund
9. PET POLICY
Pets are not permitted in any rooms or apartments.
If pets are found on the property, a penalty will be charged, and the hotel reserves the right to terminate the stay without refund.
10. USE OF KITCHEN & COOKING
Guests are expected to practice safe and responsible cooking habits.
Cooking appliances must not be left unattended
Cooking with strong-smelling ingredients is discouraged
Lingering odours requiring deep cleaning or temporary room closure may result in additional cleaning charges.
11. LINEN & TOWELS
Bed linen and towels are provided for guest use during the stay and must remain in the accommodation.
Linen and towels are not gifts
Missing or damaged items may be charged accordingly
Room refreshes are not provided during the stay. Fresh towels or linen may be requested from the front desk.
12. EXTENDING YOUR STAY
Guests may request to extend their stay, subject to availability.
Requests made before arrival or at least 24 hours prior to check-out are preferred
Extensions may require relocation to a similar accommodation if necessary
13. PARKING & LIABILITY
Parking is available on-site. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.
The hotel assumes no liability for damage, loss, or theft involving vehicles or personal property on the premises.
14. ALCOHOL POLICY
Alcoholic beverages consumed on the property must be purchased through the hotel’s bar. Outside alcohol is not permitted, except for sealed, transparent water bottles.
15. SAFETY, SECURITY & PRIVACY
Security cameras operate throughout common areas of the property
Guest identity, room numbers, and presence will not be disclosed to third parties except to law enforcement, where required by law
Guests are responsible for communicating their room details to visitors or contacts.
16. FIREARMS POLICY
Guests lawfully permitted to possess firearms must comply with all applicable laws.
Firearms must:
Be unloaded at all times
Be stored in a locked, hard-sided container
Remain secured within a locked guest room or personal vehicle
Failure to comply may result in removal from the property without refund. This policy does not apply to on-duty law enforcement or military personnel.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Failure to read or understand these Terms & Conditions does not exempt guests from their application.
